306 Group Capsule

The 306 Group was an influential collective of Black artists residing in 1930s New York. Gathering at Charles Alston’s studio loft at 306 West 141st Street, its members included icons of the Harlem Renaissance. Among them: Jacob Lawrence, Augusta Savage, and Romare Bearden.

Our ongoing 306 Group capsule features reproduced compositions from these celebrated artists—who depicted themes of history and Black identity—printed on heavyweight cotton tees, handmade in the United States.
